Obituary of Romayne York

Ocala-Romayne York, 89 of Ocala, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Ocala Regional Medical Center. She was a resident of the Ocala area for over 30 years locating here after her husband, Frederick retired from the Department of State where he was a Foreign Service Officer. Romayne, a former English and French teacher, was also a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved serving her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick York in 1976. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Edwards (R.J.) and son, Frederick York Jr. (Regina); 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Jaclyn; nieces, Carol, Karen and a great-niece, Rosario and their families; and one brother, Dick Foulk (Carol). She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Contributions can be made to any of the Hospice of Marion County locations. Services will be held privately by the family.
