Obituary of Alice Joan Holzapfel

THE VILLAGES — Alice Joan Holzapfel, 64, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010. Mrs. Holzapfel was born in New York City, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from Patterson, N.Y., in 2006. She was a housewife; of the Catholic faith; enjoyed arts and crafts; playing cards; and traveling. Survivors include her husband, Bernard "Bernie"; sons, John B., Patterson, Robert B., White Plains, N.Y.; daughter, Laura Ann Holzapfel, Queens, N.Y.; and sister, Lorraine Grimaldi, The Villages. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at St. Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Summerfield. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
