Obituary of Patricia Hughes

Mrs. Hughes was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from Boca Raton in 2006. She was a retired claims processor with UPS; member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood; member of Nine & Dine Ladies Golf Club; Notre Dame Club; Irish-American Club; the New Jersey Club; well-known for her Dickens Christmas Village display; enjoyed bowling, hosting and coordinating parties for the Duncwin Neighborhood Club. Survivors include her husband, Allan; daughters Debra Battaglia, Delray Beach, Vanessa Darmochwal, Highland, N.Y., Patricia Ann Lanting, Loveland, Colo., Kassy Schwerzler, Oakland, N.J., Sally Horvath, Chesapeake, Va.; sons, Jeffrey, New Providence, N.J., Andrew, South Bend, Ind.; sisters Ninelle Ceglio, St. Augustine, Josephine O'Halloran, The Villages; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m., Saturday, April 24 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. Entombment will be in St. Gabriel's Mausoleum, Marlboro, N.J..
