One year ago this week we were shocked by your passing. Still missing your presence in our lives. The memories are fond and again I will light a candle for you. Blake and I discussed your service yesterday and the bullet casing he was given by the military personnel sits a top his dresser. He is so proud to have it and will never forget the day his Grandpa Bob left. Caitlin is still shocked at the level of emotion that struck her that day. I hope you knew before you left how much you meant to them.

I am sitting here fondly remembering when Robert and my brother Ron would tease Van and me non-stop. Of course, it wasn't so fondly then, but they loved it. Robert and my careers and lives paralleled over the years. Our paths crossed when he called on my employers in the early '80's in Lakeland, FL. We were both born in Richwood. We both lived in Tennessee. I now work in Huntsville, AL where Robert lived and worked many years ago. We both share a love for golf and food; he a great cook, me a great eater. My heart aches for Robert's family, but I know that he is now tasting something sweeter than we could ever imagine. I also know our paths will cross again one day. See you then, Robert.
