Obituary of Stanley Pomeroy Eikoos

THE VILLAGES — Stanley Pomeroy Eikoos Jr, 78, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010. Mr. Eikoos was born in Chicago and moved to The Villages from Woodstock, Ga., in 1999. He was a retired executive manager in computer technology with IBM; a U.S. Army veteran; member of North Lake Presbyterian Church; enjoyed traveling, ocean cruises; was an avid golfer; and an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Survivors include his wife, Dorene; daughters Karen Eikoos, Seattle, Katherine Belk and Kimberly Spruit, both of Portland, Ore., Kristine Craft, Roswell, Ga., Julie Eikoos, Woodstock; brother, Michael Kilgore, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at North Lake Presbyterian Church, The Villages. Inurnment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, with military honors by the Spring Hill Marine Corps. League.
