Dad:
I thought of you with love today...
But that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday...
And days before that too.
I'll think of you in silence...
And will often speak your name.
But now all I have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is MY keepsake...
With which I'll never part.
God has you in his keeping...
I have you in my heart

Seeing his name in memorial makes this painfully real. My big brother... smart, worldly, hard working, and capable of doing anything he set his mind to. Stories handed down by my mother were both touching and amusing. Before becoming a teen he worked delivering newspapers and used the money to buy toys for me. His first purchase was a rubber duck for the bath tub. Ego intact and without apparent concern for his reputation, he pushed my baby carriage up and down the streets of northwest Miami. His marriage to Marion was no less admirable than than other parts of his life and character... they were true soul mates. His goal seemed always to be to please her. Her care for him in his final days speaks to their love and her loyalty. My heart goes out to Marion and my niece and nephew in the loss of a bigger than life husband, father, and friend. He will be missed by all... especially by me.
Sister - Rhonda

Bob has always been one of those people that you feel you have known forever. He was a very comfortable person to be around and always had a story to relate to wherever the conversation led. He will be missed GREATLY by us - Frank & Carole Wood, Savannah, Ga. & Hendesonville, NC.
A favorite memory was during his visit to Savannah in 2009, after going out to dinner with a group of local Goldwingers - he preferred going back to the motel to get his cigar than coming to our house for dessert (that is how he kept so trim), so we drove him back to the motel to get his cigar and then to our house.
