Obituary of Ruth Ann Qualheim
SUMMERFIELD, FL- Ruth Ann Qualheim, 72, formerly of Enid, Oklahoma, passed away October 26, 2011. She was born in Cherokee, Oklahoma on August 27, 1939. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church and involved with several groups at the church including the Gold Circle, the Quilting Circle, Women of the ELCA, the church choir, the fellowship ministry and the social ministry. Ruth was also a member of the Oklahoma Retired Teachers Association; Kappa Kappa Iota; a past member of the Oklahoma and National Education Associations; and she worked with the Valiant Knights of Oklahoma Drum and Bugle Corps. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth P. of Summerfield, FL; daughter, Lisa N. Weigand, Summerfield, FL; step-daughter, Michelle Miles, Winter Park, FL; sister, Linda White, Yukon, OK; brother James Hardy Penifold, Coolidge, AZ; sister-in-law, Loretta Penifold, and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Charles and her brother Billy. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church Friday, Novemeber 11, 2011 at 11 A.M.
