It was indeed a privilege to know this warm and generous soul and he will be sorely missed.
Ed was a hilarious raconteur. He had us in stitches many a time. Some of our favorite stories were of his antics as a "youth". Ed was young at heart especially when he was talking of his younger days. If you were fortunate enough to be called his friend, you were indeed blessed to have the loyalty and love that only Ed could give. He was your friend for life.
Ed was always protective and loving to Nancy. They shared a deep love for each other. We have Ed in our thoughts each day and feel fortunate to have known him. For even though we cannot see him with our eyes, we will always have him in our hearts.

My oldest memory of Ed was throwing the football with his friends Jim and George in the yard behind the Moose Club in Burlington. We called him Boodle then. There are many years between Burlington and Summerfield but time and distance didn't change the boy in him. I'll miss you dear friend. Rest in peace.

My wife, having a rare brain disease, has diminished motor skills, including loss of speech and poor mobility. One of the few enjoyments she had left was watching the antics of a squirrel that visited our bird feeder. Unfortunately it was killed by a car and learning of this she was really upset. When Ed called and enquired about my wife's health I related the squirrel story. a few days later Ed shows up with an expensive squirrel feeder and a big bag of corn. This is typical of Ed and Nancy I will miss my good friend and golfing buddy.

Ed was a friend you always looked foward to seeing. It was a joy just to be in his presence. He had such a great sense of humor and could keep you mesmerized with his stories. He loved the game of golf and was an astute student of swing mechanics. He was always willng to share that knowledge with anyone who asked . He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Ed was a loyal and generous friend. His gererousity extended from delivering meals on wheels and furnishing hams at Christmas for those meals, to lending golf clubs and even delivering me medicine, he thought would help, when I've had colds. We will miss you Ed. Rest in Peace. Dean and Rosalyn
