Obituary of Bernard John Young

YOUNG, BERNARD JOHN Ocala - Bernard John Young, 95, passed from this life on December 11, 2011. He was born in Attleboro, Mass., on October 8, 1916 and has been in Ocala since 1949. Mr. Young was a broker with Bill Rogers Realty, was a member of the Quarterback Club, Booster Club, was a member of the Ocala Elks Lodge since 1956, the JC's from 1949-1971, and the Exchange Club from 1956-1971. He was also an avid Gator fan. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Young on March 6, 1994. Mr. Young is survived by his companion Carol Holland of Ocala; daughters Judith Ann Dykes of Dallas, TX, Penny Johnston of Atlanta, GA, and Holly Krim of Ocala, FL; sons Bruce A. Young of Gaineseville, FL, and Steven J. Young of Orlando, FL; brothers Paul Young of Foxboro, MA, and Grover C. Young of Attleboro, MA; grandchildren Lex Dykes, Juli Dykes, Jani Dykes, Casey Dykes, Jacob Krim, and Kaley (Vincent) Taccetta; great grandchildren Michael Taccetta, Gracie Taccetta, and Alex Dykes. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL.
