To the whole Grissinger Family,
This is my third try because it doesn’t seem to want to print my Tribute. As if I would give up!? Are they kidding?
I am really distressed about “Deanie’s passing.. I loved her so much. She brought so much JOY to both Bob & I & now I’ve lost them both. What an awful year for us all. There are no words to express my deepest sorrow; just know that it is certainly there. But Deanie was SO SPECIAL TO EVERYONE SHE TOUCHED & her light shown bright in everyone around her. I will continue to pray for all the family members, my Cousins, & I would have given anything to have been there. Uncle Bob…I will pray especially hard for you. No one could have LOVED her or been as devoted to her as you were. God through Jesus Christ is evident in all that you say & do & that goes for the entire family. Thank you all for loving me so much in my sorrow & now it is Deanie’s time for our deepest sympathy. I remember so much about our visits down there & how good she was to my own Mother (Sis) when Bob & I finally got her down there to see Deanie. It’s been a very long time ago, but seems like yesterday.
I will always miss you & the “talks” we used to have, just the two of us.
But I will see you again with Bells on & in the Lord’s hands as you & Bob are now. It’s not Good-bye; it’s a temporary period of time before we see each other again…
I love you Deanie,
Sally

Deepest condolences to the entire Grissinger family.
Aunt Deanne and all of you were such a big part of the “Miles” get togethers over the years and were such great memories.
The examples of how to live life to the fullest as Christian people that Aunt Deanne, Uncle Bob, Mammy and Pappy demonstrated have been passed down through the generations. And for that, I am so grateful!
I know, without a doubt that Aunt Deanne received many crowns for a “Job Well Done” by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Her gain, our loss… that is what Aunt Deanne told me after her sisters funeral service. God Bless you all during your time of bereavement. Bill and Georgeanne McConnell

Joan was my Mother-in-law but really she was just my MOM who I loved so much! I will cherish all the fun adventures, shopping, talks and laughs - holding them close to my heart forever. I loved her faithfulness, praying heart, always giving praise and love for her Lord which showed with her daily walk. I so loved and will cherish her smiles, chuckle laughs and all those winks she would give me when visiting her at the nursing home. I can still hear her telling me “nooooo don’t you swing through those two trees” at ranch after Scott proposed to me! We laughed and laughed. She was there to take care of me when I had my jaw surgery by giving me warm and cold presses and I could feel the love she gave me too by being there for me. She wasn’t just my Mother-in-law, she was my MOM who I will miss tremendously and loved so much!
Thank you for all your love, see you again!
Love Janice

It’s a quaint notion, a mother’s faith in Jesus. We speak of it fondly as a marker of her character, and as a centerpiece in the home. But I’m seeing it differently now in these days after her passing.
Mom’s living faith is a well worn path, with a clear destination, and familiar sites along the way. Her life lived makes certain what we hope for, she has already received. Each of our lives have been touched by her guidance, and molded by her prayers. In her absence, we are somehow left with even more – more to hope for, more to be sure of, more love, more grace, and more blessing, as we follow her example, and remember that we are also the same in Christ.
2 Tim 1:5 – I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.
Today I rejoice that the torch of faith has been passed, and we each have an opportunity to travel that well worn path of faith with confidence, bolstered by mom’s faith, and her mom’s faith – a faith that was made real last Friday when she met Jesus, and no doubt heard him say, Well done good and faithful servant!
Well done mom! I love you, Thank you, And… See you soon!
Love Scott
