Obituary of Nancy Futch

Nancy Futch, 87, passed away October 10th, 2022 at Cross City Nursing and Rehab Center after a long, protracted illness. She was born in Palatka, Fl November 18th, 1934 to Travis and Daphne Chambers and lived most of her life in Bunnell, Fl, then relocating to Ocala, FL in early 1980s. 

She is preceded in death by most of her family including her husband, Raymond Futch; parents, sister, June Cone. Remaining family include: Daphne Baldwin, daughter (husband Bryan), stepchildren: Jim Futch (wife Mary Ellen), Brent Futch ( wife Martha), Sherry Harris (husband Dan), Julie Stewart (husband Craig), and Steve Futch ( wife Melissa). Grandchildren: Trevor, Lindsay, Erin, Lauren, Paul, Sarah, Emma, and Katie.  First cousins remaining: Cary Holland (wife Connie), Boyd Robertson (wife Elissa), and Greg Robertson (wife Andrea). 

Nancy worked as a secretary, then supervisor of fire dispatchers for the State of Florida Division of Forestry for many years. She and her husband Raymond,  shared a love of fishing and enjoyed their home in Suwanee, Fl.

She was raised Methodist and was baptized while attending Missionary Baptist Church in Ocala. She continued church attendance at Woodside Baptist Church in Ocala Fl.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 910 SE Silvers Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL 34470.  Internment will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Mount Enon Cemetery, Plant City, Florida.
