Your mother really was an amazing lady.
Both times I traveled with my grandparents as a boy to Europe she accompanied us and basically acted as our guide. Some of you boys were on each of the trips as well. I remember Carol Brown being a smart, fearless, resourceful, independent woman who just seemed made for the adventure of travel. I still have yet to meet anyone who could speak so many languages and know so much about the places we’d visit.
I’ll never forget the time I wasn’t paying attention and failed to get off the trolley when everyone else did and she (I’m now realizing was in her 60’s at the time making it even more impressive) sprinted behind the trolley to catch me at the next stop so I wouldn’t get lost.
I have fond memories of those trips with with her and with you all as well. We will be praying for you all through this difficult time.
