Obituary of Emily Bonfiglio

Emily “Queenie” Bonfiglio, 92, of Ocala, Florida, passed away January 25, 2022 in Ocala.  Born the third of twelve children in Manhattan, NY, Emily moved to Ocala over 35 years ago from Miami, where she moved in 1967. 

Emily was creative, and enjoyed floral arranging, needlepoint, travel and fashion.  She was an avid reader, and loved old movies.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Salvatore Bonfiglio, her first-born son, Joseph Bonfiglio and her grandson, Anthony Bonfiglio.  She is survived by her sons, Michael Bonfiglio (Cathy), of Williamsburg, Virginia, Daniel Bonfiglio, of Middletown, Connecticut, and her daughter, Geralyn Bonfiglio-Sells (John) of Lakeland, Florida; grandchildren Stephen Bonfiglio, Joseph Bonfiglio, Matthew Bonfiglio, Laura Bonfiglio and Daniel Bonfiglio.  Emily is also survived by several siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services may be held at a later date.  Family requests memorial contributions in Emily’s memory, to Queen of Peace Catholic Church of Ocala, Florida
