Obituary of Karl Von Brook

Karl Von Brook, 75, of The Villages, Florida was called home by the Lord on August 20, 2021. He was the husband of Dorothy Witte Von Brook for twenty years.

Karl is survived by three sisters: Diane Dennis, Denise Fuchs, Constance Hastings and his brother, Daniel Von Brook. Involved, active, and invested in his extended family during his life, he is survived and cherished by his many beloved nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Karl was born in Newark, NJ and grew in East Hanover, NJ. He graduated from NJ Institute of Technology with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Karl served with the US Army in Korea during the Vietnam War. He continued his active and full hearted service to his country and community by being part of many veteran and community organizations. He was always committed to helping others, serving his community, and leaving a legacy of love and support. He was a Life Member of the Sparta VFW, Post 7248 in Sparta, NJ. He was also a member of the VFW color guard and marched in many

parades. Karl was a member and Past Grand Exalted Ruler of the Sparta ELKS Lodge 2356 in Sparta, NJ.

For twenty-one years, Karl worked for Kearfott Guidance & Navigation, a defense equipment manufacturer in Wayne, NJ. For the last three years of work, Karl was the Liasion to the Navy in the Pittsfield, MA office. He worked in the Trident Service and as the Technical Engineering Representative for the Strategic System Program (SSP) office.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4 PM on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services on 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL, 32162.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 8:30 AM on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, Lady Lake, FL, 32159. You may view the mass on www.sttimothycc.com.

Karl will be buried in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. All are invited to attend the honor guard ceremony at Bushnell which will take place at 11:15 AM on Thursday, September 23, 2021.
