Obituary of Stewart A. Whitney

Passed away peacefully February 7, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.  Stewart will be fondly remembered for his work ethic, humor, athleticism, and love and pride for his family.  He was a graduate of RIT.  Stewart worked at Eastman Kodiak for 26 years, while farming on the side.  He is survived by his beloved wife Shirley; son Steven; daughter Wendy (Jodi); grandchildren Spencer, and Julia; sister Jean Vokes; and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his daughter Robyn; brothers Douglas, and Richard; his parents Kenneth and Louise.  Memorial service will be held in the late spring.  Inurnment will be at Pavilion Cemetery, Pavilion, NY.  The family recommends memorials may be sent to Cornerstone Hospice.  Arrangements entrusted with HIERS-BAXLEY Funeral & Cremation Life Event Center, 352-775-7427.  Sentiments may be left online at www.hiers-baxley.com.
