I’m not sure what to say because this still doesn’t feel real. I’m thankful to have known you & thought of you as a friend. I hold fond the memories of the beach days with you & Whitney, laughing, joking & soaking up the sun. I’m forever grateful for all the times you helped me with my old beat up cars. I still talk about how you showed me the powdered remnants of my very old brake pads. You were the first to volunteer to help in any way you could. You were an amazingly generous man & this world will not be the same without you in it. Thank you for being a part of my life even in such a short time, Josh. You will be forever missed by all who knew you. -Heather

Me, Kevin, and Tyler got to spend Josh's last days with him here at the cabin. He liked to come up and go hiking, riding the trails or just hang out watching the deer. Building a fire outside, or taking pictures of the night sky. He was very knowledgeable about so many things, you could never be bored around him. Even when he was a young boy, I remember him and my daughter, just talked and talked so much, it seemed liked a competition of who could find enough things to talk about. It was very amusing at the time. I enjoyed cooking for him, and spoiling him however I could. Snacks mostly. We were looking forward to many more visits. We will miss him dearly, and we loved him very much. I wasn't physically able to make the trip to Florida for the funeral, but I will remember the smile on his face, as he walked out the door saying goodbye. In the blink of an eye, everything can change. So forgive often and love with all your heart. You may never know when you may not have that chance again. Josh was an amazing person and I'm glad I got to be his Aunt Gail, and his friend. I will miss him.

My heart is broken for everyone. Josh was a kind, Committed person. He stood firm on his word. Josh is and always will be my nephew. As a small child, I have so many special and treasure memories with him and his cousins my children as well as with Erin and Tyler. He is restored and the Gates of heaven opened wide for him I know him and mine and his Uncle Joe's daughter Chrislyn are celebrating in Heaven. Payton and Kathy please know. My prayers and love for you both as well as the rest of family. God keep you in his care during this, I pray for God's veiling of his Mercy, Grace and love surround you. Joshua Payton Lewis, aunt Michelle loves you. Forever my heart.
