Obituary of Dorothy Arlene Hinote

Dorothy Arlene “Dot” Hinote, 88, of Ocala, FL passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020.  Dot was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Calvin and Ruth Filer.  She moved to Ocala in the early 1950’s and stayed the rest of her life.  She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, and did all of it well.  Dot was a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala, and the Foxy Ladies Club.  She loved Christmas and supplied generations of family with her “Toffee Candy”. 

Dot was predeceased by her husband James Hinote in 2003.  She is survived by two daughters; Susan Bremner and husband Butch, and Karen Ehmann, son Jimmy Zock and wife Robin, 6 grandchildren; Derek and Ron, Andrea and Dirk, and Warren and Michael, 10 great grandchildren, and a brother Gene Filer.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 24^th, 1:00pm, at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, 10500 US Hwy 27 in Ocala.
