Obituary of Shirley Ruth Strickland

Shirley Ruth Strickland, 86, of Palm Coast, formerly of Ocala, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. She was born September 22, 1933 the daughter of the late Beverly and Ruth Filer. Shirley was a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to this area during her teenage years. Shirley loved going fishing and spending time with her family, especially during holidays like Christmas. She loved eating chocolates and could eat her weight in crab legs! When Shirley had free time, she enjoyed spending it going to garage and estate sales. Shirley especially loved her dog, Happy.

Survivors include her children, Rosemarie Cutlip, Denise Morrison, Steven Strickland, and Swain Strickland; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband Swain Lindner Strickland.
