Dear Jodye, Steve, Swain, Richard, Spencer and all the Shirley Strickland family, Shirley has been a beautiful mother to you all and a dear friend to many. She shares my birthday but more than that she has shared some of the happiest memories of my adult life at family gatherings, births, graduations and just a million good times. She always impressed by her love of family, jovial personality, strength, warmth, professionalism as a realtor and desire to embrace all with love and wisdom. This is how I will always remember Grandma. She was always happiest when she was with her family. Rarely was she ever without one of her daughters Rose or Denise. She loved to fish and go to the beach. She went to all the graduations, birthday parties, weddings, showers. She always had a listening ear. Shirley taught me among other things how to sell Real Estate and make Ice Tea. I can see her now floating in the pool. She loved animals and took care of many. She was patient and kind. She touched the lives of many of her children's friends over the years, I have heard the stories. A mother to all. We will miss her greatly and know that she will always be in our hearts and prayers. God rest her soul. Jody

We are all so saddened by the passing of our Aunt Shirley. We will always remember her kindness and loving ways growing up with our cousins at her house or they at our ours. She was a caring and loving person who would always be there with a kind word or thoughtful gesture. She was loved so much by her sister, our mom, and words cannot express such a loss. She will be greatly missed and our hearts ache for our cousins and their families. Susan, Karen and Jimmy
