My condolences to the Donahue family : Jack hired me to work for him in 1985 on the Long island Railroad. he was the best Rail Road Boss that I ever had ... period.. I was so disappointed when he retired from the Rail Road. But years later when I was representing the Railroad for my very first time at a NYS DOT project pre-construction meeting at Region 10 Headquarters you could not imagine my delight to meet Jack at this meeting and then finding out that he was the Region 10 Boss . It was hard for me to stop smiling. He made me feel so confident. One of the very few meetings that I still remember until today. Thank you Jack for taking a chance on me. God Bless you Jack

To the Donahue family, our deepest condolences to you all. Jack was a wonderful friend, kind, caring and sincere
A special and gentle man. He will be dearly missed. MJ... A special message from one of his closest friends: A lifetime friendship filled with all the growing pains three young boys go through. A relationship that stood the test of time. A friendship that never fractured. From childhood, to adulthood, marriages, children, shared family times, vacations, a blessing beyond words. After 75 years it is so difficult to say good bye my friend. So instead I will say "until we meet again". Butch

Hello MJ, I believe this photo was taken when you and Butch and Mary and Joe visited us in The Villages. We went to the Spanish Springs Square that day for lunch and a walk through the outdoor vintage car show that day. I remember it was a good day together. This is a great photo of the three lifelong best friends. Thank you for posting it. Linda

I will always remember your smiling face and kind ways...
You made Ann Court block parties more fun with your hand made games, and I always looked forward to your Mickey Mouse pancakes! My childhood was more special because of you and Mrs. Donahue.
My sincerest condolences to all of the Donahue family.
Love always,
Debbie DeSousa Francoeur

My Dear Sweet Jack, the glories of Heaven are yours now and for all eternity. Thank you for our happy life together - for our home together, for our waltzes together, for our first visit to Paris together, for our later-in-life journey together. There is a song that says: "In my life, I loved you more." I will love you and miss you always. Love, Linda
