It has been three years but my wife and I just learned of Barbara's passing. Barbara and Holly were our neighbors at Garden Oaks. So many good visits when she and Holly were out for a walk. Our condolences to the family.

I first met Barbara when I was about 13 years old. She moved into the house across the street from me. Barbara was newly married, wore stylish clothes and drove a sports car. I wanted to be like her when I grew up. My first babysitting job was taking care of her baby, Stephen. My parents were very fond of Barbara and her children. May Barbara rest in peace.

I worked with Barbara for many years at Burger King World Headquarters. She was a delightful person to know. I am so sorry for your loss.

I only knew Barbara for the short time she has lived in the Villages near her sister Marie, who is a dear friend of mine since 1982 in Miami. You couldn't help but love Barbara. She was such a sweet soul & I loved making her laugh. She would invite me with her sister Marie to events where she resided & it would be so much fun ! She was so pleasant to everyone, always smiling & chatting.. I will miss those times with her & Marie. I know Barbara you are smiling down on us. It was my greatest pleasure to be a little part of your life. I am among those that will miss Barbara very much. My heart goes out to your family, friends & especially Marie Livingston. How she loved her big Sis. God bless you all.

I just learned of Barbara’s passing and my deepest condolences go out to her lovely family. Barbara was the first person I met when I applied for a job at Burger King Corporation back in 1981 and she was the warmest and nicest lady! Even though our paths didn’t cross over the years I will always hold fond memories of my time at Burger King because of how welcoming and kind Barbara was with me over my years at BKC. Rest In Peace sweet Barbara.

My sister was asked by our parents whether she wanted a new doll house or a new baby. She said “a baby sister”. Little did she know at the age of 7 that she could have had both because our mom was pregnant with me, her birthday present. She was thrilled with having a present she truly wanted. She took me everywhere even though her friends weren’t too happy about that, she didn’t care and I was so happy that she wanted to have me with her. All through our lives she always looked out for me and taught me lots of great things girls should know. As we got older, married and had our children, we didn’t spend as much time together but in later life we again treasured the times we were able to reminisce and laugh about our childhood and every subject imaginable. As she began having health issues I wanted her near me so I could do for her as she had done for me for so many years. It is going to be very difficult not being able to call her and talk as we did regularly. We shared so many things over our lifetimes and many times I would call just to ask her very sensible advice about something. She always had a cool head and had a reasonable solution for me. I admired her, I envied her but most of all I have loved her my entire life and now another part of my heart is missing and will always be empty. I hope she is with my late husband, George, as they always had a special connection as well. I love you, Barb, my sweet sister, R. I. P.
