Obituary of John Robert Schneider

John Robert Schneider, 91, of Ocklawaha, FL, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019.  John was born in Watertown, NY to John and Elizabeth Snyder and moved to Ocklawaha in 2016 from Belleview, FL.  He was a driver’s license examiner for the State of New York for 20 years prior to his retirement.  He was a US Army veteran, serving at West Point Military Academy and in Korea as a military policeman.  John was a member of the American Legion #284 and the VFW Post #4493. 

John was predeceased by his wife Marjorie Schneider in 2008.   He is survived by his daughter Nancy (Joseph) Oliver-Wanamaker of Nebo, NC, sons Steven Schneider of Fern Park, FL and Stanley Schneider of Ocklawaha, FL, and numerous grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, August 3^rd at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with visitation from 10-11am.  Mr Schneider will be laid to rest privately next to his wife at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
