Dear Gail, Tina, Laurie, Donna, Shelly, Joy & Mike, and families, I am so sorry to have learned that your mom has passed. As a kid growing up next door in Astoria, I have many wonderful memories of Josie and Mike, and while I know they are now reunited in heaven, I understand what it means to say farewell, for now, to mom. I pray you each find comfort in so many wonderful memories. Astoria, in general, and 24th street in particular, was a far better place with your folks. Josie was a very positive model for so many of us. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, now and always. Sending condolences from St. Petersburg, Florida (I too made the move). It's not 24th Street as it was back in the day, but I think no place can ever replace that street as it was when we all grew up there. It was a special place made so much better by Mike and Josie.
