Obituary of Corinne Porter

PORTER, CORINNE SMITH Ocala - Corinne Smith Porter, 101, passed away on Oct. 24, 2008 at Sylvia's House in Ocala. She was born Aug. 9, 1907 in Mount Hope, AL and attended David Lipscomb University where she met her husband, H. Todd Porter. They married in 1927 and moved to Ocala where he was living. She was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by her daughter, Nancy Cowart of Ocala and several nieces and nephews. Her daughter wishes to thank the members of Hospice for their kindness and care, especially Lottie Harden, her Hospice CNA, the staff at Sylvia's House and Linda Yeatts, her caregiver, who kept her so comfortable. She was a member of Central Church of Christ. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008 at Highland Memorial Park with Mr. Colin Williamson officiating.
