Obituary of James Woolley
WOOLLEY, JAMES P. Ocala - James P. Woolley, 86, passed away on Oct. 25, 2008 at Sylvia's
Hospice House. He was born in Springfield, MO and moved to Ocala in 1963 from Lake City. He was
retired Comptroller for Craggs Construction Co. of Ocala and served his country in the U.S. Coast
Guard during WWII. He was a member of McCullough-Mixson VFW Post No. 4209 of Ocala and was a
talented musician and entertainer. He also enjoyed playing golf and bowling. His survivors
include his wife, Rose M. Woolley of Ocala, his daughters, Deborah W. Torres and husband Randy of
Tampa , Cynthia L. Woolley and Patricia M. Woolley both of Ocala, his three grandchildren and
three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at
Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala with VFW Post No. 4209
officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from, 5-7 PM. Interment will be in Highland Memorial
Park. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to VFW Post No. 4209, 4805 NE
36th Ave., Ocala, FL 34479 or the American Cancer Society.
