Obituary of Carrie Padgett
Carrie Louise "Lou" Padgett, age 75, of Ocala, FL passed away on Tuesday, October 28,
2008. She was born in Micanopy, FL on January 30, 1933. Lou was raised in Micanopy and lived all
her life in Ocala. She married Harry D. Padgett and together they owned and operated the Big
Orange Restaurant on Magnolia Ave in Ocala formerly known as Padgett's Drive Inn. Later she
worked at Highlands Elementary School in the cafeteria. Then she worked at Publix on Silver
Springs Blvd in the Deli department. She also raised 5 children. Lou was an avid Gator fan. She
was also a Baptist. She is survived by daughter Judy Faison; son Bill Padgett; daughter Pam Keel;
daughter Marilyn Hendricks and son Del Padgett. She is also survived by 3 sisters; 4 brothers; 10
grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Lou was predeceased by a granddaughter Heather
Hutchinson. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008, 10:00am at Highland
Memorial Park, 1515 NE 3rd Street, Ocala, FL. Those friends wishing to view may do so for one
half hour prior to the service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
