Obituary of Gordon Miller
Gordon Miller Gordon H. Miller passed away on October 28, 2008, at age 67 from a long
illness. Gordon was born in Williamsport, Pa. and moved to The Villages from Freehold, N.J. in
2001. He graduated from Lycoming College in Williamsport in 1963, and obtained his Masters Degree
in Sanitary Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1965. He was president and half-owner
of Remsco, Inc.—a contracting company for municipal works until 1995 when he retired. His first
love was his work, followed by his family. He enjoyed building furniture; was a scratch golfer.
In his younger years he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was of Catholic faith; a member of
the Rotary Club in The Villages and Christmas was his favorite time of the year. He is survived
by his wife of 45 years, Trish Miller, of The Villages; two sons Gordon H. Miller, Jr. and his
wife, Rebecca, of Jackson, N.J., and Gregory B. Miller and his wife, Lila, of Freehold, N.J.; his
daughter, Christine and her husband, Mike Dudynskay, of Chicago, IL., two grandchildren
Jacqueline and Dustin Miller, of Princeton, N.J.; two sisters Carlene DeLong and Betty Seltzer of
Williamsport, PA. A memorial service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services of The
Villages, Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008 at 11:00 AM. A gathering of family and friends will take place
one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the
Alzheimer's Family Organization, PO Box 1939, New Port Richey, Fl 34656-1939; or the Rotary Club
of The Villages Foundation, Inc.—Polio, PO Box 1645, Lady Lake, FL 32158-1645 Arrangements are by
