Obituary of Bradley Gay

Brad D. Gay, age 79, of Ocala, FL passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. He was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada on September 17, 1929. He was raised in Canada and after graduating from high school he worked as a mechanic for Caterpillar. In Canada he played semi professional Hockey. He moved to Florida in 1960 where he eventually became involved with the Horse Industry. Over the years he worked as a Thoroughbred Breeder and also as a Contractor building and grading Horse Racetracks. His hobbies included raising horses and watching sports. Brad was a Christian. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Shirley Gay; sons Gerry and Ronnie Gay; daughter Helen Painter and 6 grandchildren. A memorial service will be celebrated on Sunday, November 16, 2008, 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook Church, 4741 SW 20th St, Ocala, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Hospice of Marion Co. in Brad's name.
