Obituary of John Kostnik

John William Kostnik, 84, passed away at Legacy Hospice House on November 15, 2008. Mr. Kostnik moved to Ocala from New Rochelle, NY in 1994. He was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala and was a member of the Italian American Club of On Top of the World. Mr. Kostnik was a retired private chauffeur for The New York Hospital for 15 years and was a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corp during WWII. He was an avid stamp collector, golfer and bowler. Mr. Kostnik is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Frances Kostnik, of Ocala, FL; and one sister, Jean Schopmeyer of Clermont, FL. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 8:30 AM at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, SR 200, Ocala, FL. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 18, 2008 from 3:00 â€" 5:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services TimberRidge Chapel, 9695 SW 110th St, Ocala, FL with prayer service at 4:00 PM. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
