Obituary of Charlie Tillis

Tillis, Mrs. Charlie P. Ocala â€" Mrs. Charlie P. Tillis, 90, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. She was born in LuDowici, GA and spent most of her lifetime in Marion County. Mrs. Tillis was a member of The Salvation Army. She was a retired LPN from Munroe Regional Medical Centerand a member of Prestige 55 at Munroe. Mrs. Tillis was preceded in death by her husband, Colton C. Tillis in 1962. She is survived by a daughter Kathryn Fairchild and husband Jerry, of Silver Springs; two sons, Kenneth (Sharon) Tillis of Ocala, and Roger (Marian) Wells of Belleview; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren . Services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala,with Major Otis Childs and Rev. Jimmy Snell officiating. Viewing will be Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Hillcrest section. Contributions may be made to Salvation Army in honor of Mrs. Tillis.
