Obituary of Early Earl Merritt

Earl Merritt, Jr. 76, of Chiefland, passed away at Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties in Chiefland, Nov. 17, 2008. Born in Willacoochee, GA , he moved here in 1995 from Orlando. He was a retired manager for Publix Supermarkets. He served his country in the U S Air Force. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chiefland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and sports. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lee Merritt of Chiefland; his daughter Lisa Gaye Merritt of Gainesville; his son Gregory Todd (Christine) Merritt of Lorida, FL; and grandsons, Marshall Todd Merritt and Matthew Luke Merritt. Services will be Thursday, Nov, 20, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Chiefland, with Pastor Bob Block officiating. Arrangement are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1301 N.
