Obituary of Elizabeth Sparkman

Elizabeth L. Sparkman, age 82, of Penney Farms, FL went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. She was formerly of Ocala, FL. Mrs. Sparkman was born in Concord, TN on September 23, 1926. Elizabeth was raised in Tennessee and after graduating from high school she attended the University of Tennessee where she graduated with a Bachelor degree. She was a Teacher at New Hope School in Ocala. Elizabeth was a charter member at Druid Hills United Methodist Church where she was very active. Her hobbies included gardening, being a mother and volunteer work. Mrs. Sparkman met and married William Sparkman. Together they raised three children. She is survived by her daughter Lee Ann (John) Pepe of Inverness; son James (Mary) Sparkman of Middleburg, FL; son Scot Sparkman of Powers, OR; grandchildren Jill, Jared, Beth, Kristen and Skye; and great grandchildren Lily and Evelynrose. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2008, 3:00pm at Druid Hills United Methodist Church, 1712 SE Lake Weir Ave, Ocala, FL 34471. Visitation will take place at the church on Sunday, November 23, 2008, from 2:00pm until 3:00pm. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ocala, FL.
