Obituary of Raymond Johnson

Raymond L. Johnson, 86, passed away on November 23, 2008 at the Legacy Hospice House in Ocala, FL. He was born in New York City, NY and moved from Delray Beach, FL to Ocala in 2001. Mr. Johnson is a retired Sanitation Police worker for the City of New York and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Frances Johnson, of Ocala; two sons, Raymond E. Johnson and wife Viola of Bedford, NY and Douglas A. Johnson and wife Cheryl of St. Augustine, FL; one brother, Kenneth Johnson and wife Florence of Cape Cod, MA; and four grandchildren Robert, Rebecca, Kelly, and Corey. Funeral Mass will be at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, SR 200, Ocala on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 8:30 AM with Father Patrick J. O'Doherty officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 30, 2008 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley TimberRidge Chapel, 9695 SW 110th St., Ocala. Inurnment will be Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. With Military Honors by Angela Santos Post #4781 of Ocala.
