Obituary of Ernest O'Steen

O'Steen, Ernest Clark Smyrna, Georgia - Colonel Ret. Ernest Clark O'Steen, 80, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2008. A native of Ocala, Mr. O'Steen was a U.S. Army Colonel retiring after 32 years of service. He had been a resident of Smyrna for over 29 years. He is survived by his wife Dorothy O'Steen of Smyrna; three daughters Deborah Suzanne O'Steen of Powder Springs, GA, Diane Michelle Greer of New Orleans, LA, Dawn Janine (John Everett) Davis of Dawsonville; sister Mary Brent Kraus of Ocala; grandson, Terry Lee Greer, Jr.; three granddaughters Brittany Ann Davis, Amanda Diane Bradshaw, Dorothy Caitlin Davis; and one great-grandson Chance Clark Greer. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Barnes Cemetery in Ocala with Chaplain Elden H. Luffman officiating.
