Obituary of Michael VanWagner
VANWAGNER, MICHAEL RAY Sparr - Michael Ray VanWagner, 22, died on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008
at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. He was born in Joplin, MO on Sept. 16, 1986 and had lived most
of his lifetime in Sparr. He was a senior at the University of Florida. He loved his family,
basketball, his cows, his country, and deep sea fishing. He was a real proud American. He is
survived by his parents, Eric and Deborah VanWagner of Sparr, his sister, Dana VanWagner of
Sparr, his grandmother, Ethel Wilson of Anthony, his aunts, Debbie K. Wilson, Katie VanWagner,
Susan VanWagner and Tonya VanWagner, his uncles, Daniel Wilson, Skip VanWagner, Richard
VanWagner, Jimmy VanWagner and Danny VanWagner and eight cousins. He was preceded in death by his
grandparents, Woodrow Wilson, and Earl and Teresa VanWagner. Funeral services will be held on
Monday, Dec. 8, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Sparr Baptist Church with Rev. J. Scott Monday officiating. A
visitation will be held on Sunday from 5-7 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver
Springs Blvd., Ocala. Burial will be at Anthony Cemetery. Those who wish may make contributions
