Obituary of Dorothy Shelton

SHELTON, DOROTHY IRENE Ft. McCoy - Dorothy Irene Shelton, 94, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Jasonville, IN and moved to Ft. McCoy from Miami 48 years ago. She was a retired baker for the Dade County School System and was a member of First Baptist Church of Ft. McCoy. She loved baking, fishing and working in her yard. She is survived by her son, James W. Shelton of Jackson, GA, her daughter, Janet Brown of Ft. McCoy , her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Shelton of Jackson, GA, her 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelley F. Shelton and her son, John Shelton. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 15, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Ft. McCoy with Rev. Franklin Jessup and Rev. Ted Burrell officiating. Visitation at the church at 10 AM. Interment will be at Ft. McCoy Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Marion County.
