Obituary of Kenneth Whelpley
WHELPLEY, SR., KENNETH PAUL Reddick - Kenneth Paul Whelpley,Sr., 79, passed away on
Friday, Dec. 12, 2008. He was born in Ashtabula, OH and moved to Marion County 13 years ago from
Winter Haven. He retired from Publix as Chief Engineer of Ammonia Refrigeration and was
Operations Manager for Adessa Auto Auction here in Ocala. He served his country in the U.S. Army
during WWII and was a member of the local chapter of IMF. His survivors include his loving wife,
Dorothy of Reddick, his loving children, Kenneth Paul Whelpley, Jr. of Winter Haven, Laurie Ann
Baker of Williston and Dan Michael Whelpley of Tampa, his sister, Jeanette McIntyre of Astabula,
OH, his brother, Carl Whelpley of Mentor, OH, his grandchildren, Angelic Browe, Kristal Whelpley,
Kenneth Paul Whelpley, III, Gabriel Whelpley and Keegan Baker and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-7 PM with services at 7:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral
Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM in Glen Abbey
Memorial Gardens in Winter Haven.
