Obituary of Jackson Koontz
Koontz, Jackson "Jack" Ocala - Jackson "Jack" Warren Koontz, 82, former owner of Jack
Koontz Garage, an avid Philatelist, and WWII Navy Veteran in the Pacific Theater, went home to
God on December 19, 2008, while holding hands with Jeannette, his devoted wife of 40 years. Born
in Kiefer Township, Oklahoma, Jack moved to Ocala from Bluffton, Ohio in June 1960. Jack was
preceded in death by his parents Jasper & Linda and his parents-in-law Sim &
Decemia Causseaux. He follows his brothers and sisters: Rolland, JO, Billie, Mary and Jim to
Heaven. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Donna, Jim's mother. He is survived by
his three children Jim (Lorre), Jackson III (Mary) and Jacqueline and his sister Lillian Crates
of Arlington, Ohio. Grandpa made a great impression on his grandchildren Jennie (Brent), Amanda,
Jesse, Kathleen, Alyssa, Jacob, Dylan, and Noah. Papa found constant delight in his grandson
Ashton "Beep Beep." He will be dearly missed by his loving brothers and sisters in-law, all who
knew him, and especially his loyal companions Puppy Dog and Stormy. A funeral service will be
held at 10 AM on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver
Springs Blvd. Visitation will be Sunday, December 21, 2008, from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. In
lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the V.A. Palliative Care Unit, 1601 SW Archer Rd,
Gainesville, FL 32608.
