Obituary of Terrence Beutin

BEUTIN, Terrence R. Mr. Terrence "Terry" R. Beutin, 67, of Ocala, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. A native of Chicago, Illinois, he moved to this area in 1999, coming here from French Camp, Mississippi. A teacher in Christian Education, Terry was involved in many things that allowed him to share his faith. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ocala and their Drama Team, director of the Adult 4 Sunday School Class at First Baptist, the Good News Bible Club at Greenway Elementary School, and the Florida Baptist Convention Disaster Relief Team. His many hobbies included camping, fishing, photography, cooking, traveling, repairing and refinishing furniture, and most of all, playing with his grandchildren. His survivors include his wife of 42 years, Carol E. Beutin, son Brian Beutin of Colorado, daughter Cassie Fletcher of Ocala, and son Duane Beutin of Ocala, brother Brian Wayne Beutin of Illinois, and grandchildren Carlie, Courtney, Kimberly, and Barrett. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at First Baptist Church, 2801 SE Maricamp Road, with Dr. Phillip E. Hanes officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good News Club.
