Obituary of Henry Vickery

VICKERY, HENRY G. Silver Springs - Henry G. Vickery, 88, passed away on Monday, Jan. 5, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Union City, GA and moved here from New Jersey in 1987. He retired after 22 years of service with the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He was also a heating and electronics clerk. He enjoyed Country Western and Blue Grass Gospel music , playing guitar and gardening. He is survived by his best friend and confidant, Dr. Linda Sunshine of Ocala, his nieces, Tammy Hibbard of Umatilla and Wendy Davis of Orlando, his nephews, Ken Hibbard of Umatilla and John Maki of Ocala and his five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, with Dr. Rev. Elvin Boles officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be at 1 PM on Friday. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Marion County or the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch.
