Obituary of Ruth May Peredna
Ruth May Peredna, 86 of Ocala, Fl. passed away on January 8, 2009 at Legacy Hospice
House of Ocala. Mrs. Peredna was a native of Providence, RI. She was a Crossing Guard for the
Warwick, RI. Police Department, and a Welcome Wagon Hostess in Colchester, CT. Mrs. Peredna moved
to Ocala from Colchester, in 1988. She was a beloved mother to Barbara and Raymond. Ruth was a
member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala. Her enjoyment in life was caring for her
daughter Barbara for 63 years. Mrs. Peredna is survived by her daughter Barbara Glynn of Ocala,
Fl.; her son Raymond Glynn and wife Wendy of Charlton, Mass; a grandson Zachary and granddaughter
Casey; a cousin John Larmoure of Wisconsin and Lake Wales, Fl. 2 nephews George and Russell
Parenteau; a niece Carolyn Parenteau. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Joseph Peredna in 1999.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, SR 200, Ocala on Tuesday,
January 13, 2009 at 8:30 AM with Father Patrick J. O'Doherty officiating. Visitation
will be Monday, January 12, 2009 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Hiers-Baxley TimberRidge Chapel 9695 S.W.
