Obituary of Walter Donald McLaughlin

Walter D McLaughlin 98 years old passed away suddenly Jan.23 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. Walter was born 8/8/1910 in Calais, ME. He lived most of his life in Harrington, ME and early life in Albany, N.Y. He was the son of Charles Lester McLaughlin of Honeydale, Canada and Sarah Jane (Morse) McLaughlin of Harrington. He also had a stepfather, Sam Scott of Portland, ME. He is predeceased by his wife J. Patricia (Blanchard) of Vancesboro, ME.; grandson Alan S. Howland of Beals, ME.; 2 brothers Charles McLaughlin and Harold McLaughlin and 2 sisters Florence and Hazel. His memory will live on in his daughter Donnee Webber and son- in -law Richard of Harrington, ME. and daughter Patricia Howland and son-in -law Albert Howland of Beals Island, ME and Old Town FL. He had several nieces and nephews and Great grand and great great granchildren. He was self-employed most of life and had a Bait business in Beals Island, ME. for many years. He loved clamming and hunting and gardening. He just became a Charter member of the Eagles Club and Forest Hills Community Center of Old Town FL.
