i never knew heather, but i was told what a wonderful person she was. i read some of the comments people left about her, and i found that she must have been a great person, the kind of person that will never be forgotten. i know how hard it is to read these comments, how you find yourself crying while you sit and read them, but you read them again and again to reassure yourslef that she will not be forgotten. i know this b/c i lost my oldest brother just after you lost heather. he was only 19 and he was on his way home when he was in a car accident. i just wanted to let you know that i was praying for your family. i hope that in time you will be able to think about her and smile, and remember that though she lived a short life, she accomplished more than many people are ever able to. she was loved, and will never be forgotten.

I have only known Heather for the past four years, but that was long enough for her to make a huge impact on my life. Heather was always there, with a gorgeous smile on her face, reassuring that everything will be okay. I loved Heather with all of my heart and I miss her so much, but I know she is still with all of us, smiling over us... she is our angel now. Brian, Deb, and Tyler: it breaks my heart to see you guys so sad. I am so sorry for your loss, I can't even begin to imagine how hard this must be, and I pray for you all everyday. God has proven that he only takes the best. Heather, I will forever and always love you! Spanish isn't the same, not having someone to not understand with me! Everytime I walk in, I can feel you there with us still. I love you so much and can't wait until we meet again! Keep smiling! I LOVE YOU

Mr. and Mrs. Hibbs,
Our hearts ache for you and what you are facing. It has been a month and others lives have gone back to normal but your anguish will linger for a long time. We lost our 16 year old daughter in a car accident in 2001. Reading about Heather was like reading about our daughter. We also lost our 20 year old daughter 18 months after our 16 yr old so believe me, we know all too well what your family faces. Try to remember the good times, the bright smile and loving being that Heather must have been. Those memories will bring much comfort on most days and much heartbreak on others. We wish these kinds of things didn't happen but that is why they are called accidents and we have little control over them. Heather was admired and loved by many and knowing the positive impact she made is something to be proud of. As parents who can truly empathize, feel free to let us listen if you need someone that really knows the emotions you are feeling. Our favorite scripture is now : Mark 5:41 and 42. Keep in mind the hope of the resurrection. Lean on one another, your friends and faith.
With deepest sympathy and hope for your healing,
Pete and Kathy Nopoulos

My deepest, heartfelt sympathy and prayers to all of Heather's family, friends, and classmates. I pray that through HIS grace, Jesus Christ provides you all with spiritual strength to cope with Heather's leaving her home here on earth to be with OUR Heavenly FATHER, and gradually peace will be restored to your hearts, minds, and souls knowing that HIS spirit is with you not only during this tragic time, but FOREVER.
If you feel a need to share or an ear to listen, please-contact me. I know the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual challenges you are going through and will confront in the months to come. My 22 year old daughter was killed in a SUV rollover 20 months ago. It has only been through prayer, reading the Bible, and crying out for Jesus strength that I have endured.
You WILL see Heather again. Eternal life can only be obtained through death. God Bless you all-

Jeff and Carie,
I am so very, very sorry to hear of your loss from my mother...I cry every time I think about it...please know that I am thinking of you all and am praying for you. It sounds like from what I hear of her, she would want us to rely on HER Lord and to know that she is in a better place...sometimes I think God takes home those he just wants with him sooner...may we all live in such a way as so make our Father want us with Him...just like we want our babies with us.
With much love and emotion, Cindy

I would like to let you know that you are in my prayers and in my thoughts. I was able to attend Heather's funeral and I thought it was a wonderful service. I'm sure that Heather was there with us and amazed with how many people she had touched in her short life. She was a beautiful girl whom I was not fortunate enough to get to know as well as I would have liked for I was a couple years older than her. I admired her in many ways, however. I will never forget her big brown eyes and her soft smile. I pray that time will ease your pain and that you will keep her within your hearts.

Brian, Debbie, and Tyler:
There is no way to express how wonderful Heather was or how painful this is for all of us in such a small space. I did, however, want to tell you that I and the rest of my family will be praying for you. When we were young, Heather and I were best pals, exploring Buck's sprawling yard pretending to be who knows what. After you moved, I saw little of Heather except for one time after my grandfather passed. I could see what a mature and lovely young lady she had grown into. From reading descriptions of her high school life, she and I had the same interests, and would have been best friends even if we hadn't been cousins. I wish I had spent more time with her and all of you. It is so horrible that it takes something like this to bring us together. I hope to see you soon and will leave you with this: after learning of Heather's passing I couldn't speak, I just sat there white and shaking. After some time passed, my father said this to me, you know, Andrew, Buck said 'Heather was a Christian' so we know she is in a better place. I can't tell you how much that comforted me, knowing that we WILL see Heather again, one day. Peace be with you.
With Love,
Andrew Hibbs

Deb, Brian, and Ty I don't know any of you very well, but I knew Heather.
She was one of my three closest friends and I will always hold her in my heart. She was one of the most beautiful, talented, carefree spirited, genuine person I have ever met.
I can't even imagine your loss. I loved her so much and told her that every day. She was radiant and vibrant and could walk in the room and make anyone feel better.
Her smile will live on and that's just what we need to remember. If Heather was here now she would be smiling, and we should embrace that.
Be strong and pull through, I know it will be a tough one, but she's somewhere better, and being strong, just looking down at how many people care.
