Obituary of Jean Frost
Frost, Jean K. 68 Jean Frost passed away on February 13, 2009 at TimberRidge Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center in Ocala, FL. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts and traveling. Mrs.
Frost served 2 years as the past President, Vice President, of the Maryland Extension Homemakers
Council, and 14 years as the Treasurer. Jean was also active in the National Extension Homemakers
Council, and the Associated Country Women of the World, where she attended numerous national and
world conferences. Jean and Roger were area representatives for ASSE International exchange
student program for 13 years helping over 130 students from Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong,
Japan, Netherlands, Sweden, Thailand, and Taiwan. Jean and Roger lived in Hawaii from 1966-1969
before moving to Lexington, Park, MD and then to Ocala in 2007. She was of the Methodist faith.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 48 years, Roger Frost; son Gary of Rota, Spain; daughter
Gale Perry of Ocala, FL; brother John Kramer of Pullman, WA; sister Helen Turchan of Dearborn,
MI; 2 grandchildren; and 23 exchange student daughters from around the world. Memorial Service
will be held at Hiers-Baxley TimberRidge Chapel, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, FL on Thursday,
February 26, 2009 at 3:00 PM with Reverend Bob Loring officiating. Memorials may be made to
