Obituary of George Spillner
SPILLNER, George Charles, Jr. Mr. George C. Spillner, Jr., 90, of Ocala, died Thursday,
March 5, 2009, at Munroe Regional Medical Center. A native of Baltimore, MD, he moved to this
area in 1988, coming here from Palm Harbor. He was retired as an accountant for the Veterans
Administration, and was a member of Silver Springs Shores Presbyterian Church. His memberships
include the VFW, Post 4493; American Legion Post 284; 29th Division Association; and he was a
supporter of the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch, VFW National Home, Boy Scouting and Cub Scouting.
He enjoyed stamp collecting and bird watching, and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. His
survivors include his 3 daughters Anne E. Fout, Cathryn Isabel Brown, and Dorothy Muriel Mackay,
son Robert Charles Spillner, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Memorial services will
be held at 1 PM Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Silver Springs Shores Presbyterian Church. Memorial
