Obituary of Marcella Lee

LEE, Marcella L. Mrs. Marcella L. Lee, 71, of Ocala, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Tuscany Hospice House in Ocala. A native of Nanty-Glo, PA, she moved to Ocala in 1950 with her family, when they opened Ocala's first Italian restaurant, "Mama Labazzi's Italian Restaurant". She was a member of the 1955 Ocala High School graduating class, and she also graduated from Massey Business College in Jacksonville, where she worked for the J.H. Churchill Company. She later worked for the AAA office in Ocala. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and in 1980 she moved to Washington, D.C., and worked at the LDS Temple. Marcy eventually retired from Munroe Regional Medical Center where she worked as a PBX operator. She is survived by her son Robert Eric Lee, Ocala, her daughter Patricia Shiflett, Tallahassee, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Rose (Martinazzi) Labash, and her brother John Stephen (Sonny) Labash. A memorial services will be held 3:30 PM Monday, April 6, 2009, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ocala.
