Obituary of Betsy Cote

Betsy "Betty" Cote, 81, passed away on April 16, 2009 at Munroe Regional Medical Center, Ocala, FL. Mrs. Cote was born in Staten Island, NY to Nels Larsen and Bertha Pendersen Larsen. She retired as a secretary from the Archdiocese Of New York's Mt. Loretto boys' mission. She moved to Ocala, FL from Staten Island in 1981. Betty also resided in Edison, NJ for 15 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and volunteered for many Legion activities. She is survived by a son, Ernest N. Cote of Asbury Park, NJ and former daughter-in-law Evelyn Cote of Keyport, N.J.; a brother Norman Larsen and sister-in-law Florence Larsen of Ocala, FL; two grandsons, Russell Cote, Jersey City, NJ and Justin Cote of Matawan, NJ; many nieces and nephews, and close and loving friends. Mrs. Cote was pre-deceased by her husband, Leo Cote in 1996; two brothers Nels Larsen and Lars Larsen; and two sisters, Lilly Del Ross and Margaret Sheridan.
