Obituary of John Frank Worley
WORLEY, SR. , FRANK Ocala - Frank Worley, Sr., 97, passed away on Saturday, April 18,
2009. He was born in Noma, FL and moved to Ocala in 1928 from Wildwood. He owned and operated
Worley's Barber Shop on Ocala's Downtown Square for many years. He was a member of First Baptist
Church of Ocala, Woodmen of the World, Sons of the American Revolution, CCC camps at Mill Dam and
Lake Kerr and longtime member of MRMC Auxillary. He is survived by his wife, Velma (Pex) Worley
of Ocala, his sons, Frank Worley, Jr. and his wife Margie of Belleview and James E. Worley of
Ocala, his step-daughter, Sharon Householder of Raleigh. NC, his step-son, Marty Gates of Ocala,
his grandchildren, Scott Causseaux, Suzanne Miller, Ken Kelly, Eric and Baron Buskell, his nine
great grandchildren and his one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first
wife Sadie Worley, his granddaughter, Kacelle LaPointe and his step-son, Kirby Gates. Funeral
services will be on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910
E. Silver Springs Blvd. with Dr. Edward D. Johnson officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations
to Hospice of Marion County.
