Obituary of James Wright
WRIGHT, JAMES "JIM" MACK, 69 Ocala - James "Jim" Mack Wright, passed away April 21, 2009
at Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was born in Saltville, Virginia and moved to Ocala, FL in
1979. Mr. Wright was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and on the Board Of Trustees.
He was a past commodore of Ocala Boat Club, former member of the Silver Springs Lions Club,
Suwanee Valley Motor Home Club, and former member of the Ocala Moose Club. Jim was a retired
school teacher with the Marion County School System having taught and coached at Lake Weir High
School, Vanguard, and Howard Middle School. He was a former operator/owner of Chicken Unlimited
restaurant on Silver Springs Blvd. Jim was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his
family and loved by many friends. Jim played on the 1958 championship football team for R. B.
Worthy High School "Salt Shakers", where he had lifelong friendships with his team mates. He was
an avid Florida Gator fan and loved life to its fullest. He is survived by his wife, Martha
(Sam), wife of 42 years; daughter Sheri Glore and husband Robert, of Ocala; sons: Mark Christian
Wright and wife, Rikki Landis of New Symrna Beach, FL and James Michael Wright of Bristol, VA;
daughter, Rayna Spellman and husband Michael of Ocala; grandchildren, Anthony James Amigliore,
Hannah Morgan Glore, Onz Landis Wright, Trenton Penuel and Emily Penuel. Preceded in death by his
parents, Roy & Olivene Wright, his sister Juanita Brewer and grandson Lucas Christian
Wright.
