Obituary of William Wicklund

William Kurt Wicklund passed away suddenly April 22, 2009 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. William was born 6/26/68 at RAF Lakenheath in England. Most of his life was spent in Beach Park, Illinois where he attended school and had many friends. William lived in Ocklawaha, Fl. for the past 5 years. He was employed at Lined Valve Corp. in Candler, Fl. William's joy in life was his 6 yr. old son, Cody. Even though his marital relationship ended he was the best Father any little boy could ask for. Spending time with his son on a regular basis was very important to him, including nightly phone calls. Cody's favorite things to do with his Father were bike riding together, snorkeling at the springs, teaching his Father how to roll about with Heelies, going to parks and go karting. William lived with his Mother and Brother and will be deeply missed. At home he enjoyed doing yard work and anything that made his home nice. He collected various outdoor scene plates and dragons which were nicely displayed in his bedroom. William was preceded in death by his sister, Carla Wicklund; Father, William Duranso; Aunt Barbara Kennedy and his Grandparents Ray and Olive Wicklund and Earl and Rose Duranso. Left to cherish his memory are his son Cody Ray William Wicklund, Mother Susan Wicklund, Brother Michael Wicklund, Ex-wife and best friend Mary Wicklund, and all of his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. A visitation will take place at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be held after the visitation at 4:00 pm.
